TICINO
This region near the Italian border is noted for it's Mediterranean type
climate, which is ideal for the late maturing Merlot grape.
These wines have a very different character to other Swiss wines, most
whites are made from red merlot grapes (with minimum skin contact, which
gives a white grape juice). These wines should not be served too cold in order to enjoy
them to the full.
