22 75cl Coudoulet de Beaucastel Rouge Cotes du Rhone
Chateau de Beaucastel

RP/Joe Czerwinski - Still not yet bottled for my June visit (it was scheduled to be bottled at the end of the month), the final blend of the 2017 Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet de Beaucastel was showing plenty of garrigue and dried-spice notes layered over cherry fruit. Full-bodied, silky textured and long on the finish..

Made by a Top Chateauneuf-du-Pape Estate, from grapes that are just outside the  CNDP appellation.

    CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT
A Bio-Dynamically farmed estate, making really wonderful wines; which represent Top Value for the price!

RP - Easily one of the top estates in the Languedoc (if not southern France), Chateau Puech Haut lies just outside the village of Saint-Drezery and is owned and run by Gerard Bru, with consulting help from Philippe Cambie. They produce a number of cuvees, with their entry level efforts representing superb values, and their top cuvees being able to stand toe to toe with the greatest wines in the world.

Wonderful value wines - please try a bottle!

75cl Coteaux du Languedoc
Saint Drezery
 Prestige Rouge
Chateau Puech-Haut

JebDunnuck.com - Based on Syrah and Grenache brought up mostly in concrete tanks, the 2018 Languedoc Prestige comes from older vines and limestone soils not far from the Pic Saint Loup appellation in the Languedoc. Incredibly consistent, it sports a deep purple hue as well as a ripe, sexy bouquet of both red and black fruits intermixed with lots of spice, chocolate, and earthy, peppery nuances. Beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, with a pure, velvety mouthfeel and a great finish, it's going to evolve for a solid 3-5 years, possibly even a decade, although there's no need to delay gratification, as it's beautiful today.
