Hello and Thank You for visiting our web site.

R&B Wines is a family business that has been trading since 1999; we specialise in supplying mixed bottle cases of speciality wines to private clients, coupled with a personalised service.

The advantage of selling mixed bottle cases is that this will allow you to experiment and "mix-and-match" without having to buy complete cases.
Once you have tasted your bottle selection, so can always come back to us to purchase complete case quantities, which we can store for you in our 'client account' at OCTAVIAN
in Corsham if you do not have suitable storage facilities yourself.

To Order: Please contact Rudy on +44-(0)771 880 6337 or email him at randbwines@aol.com , or go to the How to Order tab at the top of this Home Page for more information.

For logistical reasons, our minimum order is for 1case of 12 bottles;
but this can be a mix of any bottles listed on our web site.

All wines listed are our own stock and are currently available - we do not 'broke' for third parties, so wine provenance and quality are entirely under our own control.
All wines are offered subject to remaining unsold and official confirmation by invoice.

<===Please click on the navigation panel on the left to review our current stock, prices and tasting notes.

As we are a family business, we have decided to focus on featuring specific 'quality' wine domaine's and growers and hope this will make your selection simpler.
We specialise on the following domaine's, although our price list includes many other interesting wines as well:

  • QUALITY CHAMPAGNE: Non Vintage from Billecart-Salmon and Jean-Laurent.

Vintage Champagne: from JEAN-LAURENT, KRUG, POL ROGER , SALON Le Mesnil and VEUVE CLICQUOT.

  • BORDEAUX: We specialise in Clos de l'Oratoire and Chateau Figeac (St Emilion) and  Latour a Pomerol and La Conseillante  (Pomerol), plus a selection of additional Fine Wines from the other Appellations.
We also highly recommend the following
2nd Label wines from selected Top Chateaux Petite Eglise (Pomerol), Moulin St George (St Emilion), Tourelles de Longueville and Les Forts de Latour (Pauillac), Clos du Marquis, Croix du Beaucaillou and Reserve de Leoville Barton (St Julien), Marquis de Calon (St Estephe) and Segla (Margaux).

  • CHABLIS We are particularly fond and impressed by the wines from Domaine William Fevre, and are building -up a portfolio of their wines from good Chablis vintages.
These are excellent value and they make for a wonderful drink by themselves, or with fish and white meats.

  • WHITE BURGUNDY:
For wines from the Chassagne Montrachet appellation we stock the wines from Jean-Noel Gagnard; excellent quality at a attractive price.
For wines from the Puligny Montrachet appellation we are focusing on
Domaine Paul Pernot who makes wines in the classic style which are fairly priced, as he is more in love with his wines than becoming famous (you pay for the wine not a the name; his 1999 Bienvenues Batard Montrachet is one of the best I have ever had!).
For more 'easy drinking prices' we also stock excellent Maconais and Meursault wines from
Maison Verget; you will find their price/quality level to be very good indeed.

  • RED BURGUNDY:
For top quality Burgundies from the Gevery Chambertin area, like Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Beze, Griottes Chambertin and Le Musigny/Chambolle-Musigny, we recommend you try the wines from Armand Rousseau and Joseph Drouhin, (Griottes Chambertin is the smallest Grand Cru in Gevery Chambertin, so these wines are very rare).
For wine from the hallowed village of Vosne Romanee, we stock the excellent Grand Cru La Grande Rue from
Francois Lamarche; the vineyard is situated right next to Romanee Conti, which is considered the best Burgundy wine anywhere, so this says something for the potential of La Grande Rue.
For red burgundy in the classical style with lots of taste, yet good aging potential, we strongly recommend the
Clos des Lambrays and Domaine du Clos des Tart from Morey-St-Denis, which represent fantastic Grand Cru value.
For Nuits St George wines we focus on the wines from Robert Chevillon, he makes beautifully round wines with lots of purity. These are some of the best wines from this appellation, which can usually be drunk a lot sooner than some of the other wines from this region.
For good value early drinking burgundies, you will not be disappointed with the reds from
Paul Pernot; he is better known for his whites, so his red wines have a very good price to quality level in the region of £10-18 per bottle.

  • RHONE: Since 1998 there have been some really good wines coming from this region, especially Chateauneuf-du-Pape (CNDP).
Both the Northern appellations (Cote-Rôtie, Condrieu, Chateau Grillet, St. Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, Cornas, St. Peray) and the Southern appellations (Chateauneuf du Pape, Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Tavel, Lirac and Cotes du Rhone Villages) are now producing excellent wines with lots of body and structure.
Chateauneuf de Pape represent excellent value from the 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 vintages, with a potential to keep 15-20 years if properly cellared.
We particularly recommend the top CNDP
Clos des Papes from Domaine Paul Avril, and the excellent price/quality Domaine Vieux Donjon.
Vacqueyras is a lighter style of wine to CNDP, but they are excellent 'drinkers' from good vintages like 1998 and 2003, also price is very attractive.
Cote Rôtie is a really top-flight Rhone wine, which is typically more elegant than it's cousins from the south (and generally more expensive).
1999 and 2001 are wonderful vintages for Cote Rôtie, which will repay you well in future if purchased now, as these wines are beginning to become scarce with resulting price increases already taking place.
We specialise in particular on wines from
Domaine Guigal, who make excellent drinking Cote-Rôtie (Brune & Blonde) as well as the top quality single vineyard wines from Domaine Rostaing of La Landonne and Cote Blonde.
Hermitage are more formidable/powerful wines for long aging, especially good with red meats; we specialise in the wines from
Domaine Jaboulet; in particular La Chapelle which represent very good value when compared to some of the more expensive producers.

  • NEW WORLD: From Australia we specialise in KAY Brothers; especially their excellent Block 6 Shiraz and great value Hillside Shiraz, as well as the boutique wines from Spinifex.
From the USA our focus is on
Dominus which is the top "Californian Bordeaux" blend from the famed wine maker of Chateau Petrus in Pomerol; their 2nd label Napanook is especially worth trying.
From South America we can especially recommend the
Almaviva Bordeaux blend from Chile and the Clos de los Siete from Argentina.

  • Speciality Wines: For those of you who would like to experiment with something different (but very good), why not select a few bottles of our Alsace, Loire, Spanish, Italian, Lebanese and SWISS wines (yes, the Swiss do make wine and they are very good too!).
The Alsace, Loire and Swiss wines are imported direct from the domaine, so they represent very good value indeed.
